New bag charge

Did you remember your reusable bags? Paper bags now cost 15¢ each in accordance with City of Edmonton bylaws.

As you have likely already heard, the City of Edmonton has enacted the new Single-Use Item Reduction Bylaw intended to reduce waste in our city. So what does that mean for us at The Wig Boutique?

The only big change in our store is bags. We are no longer able to provide single-use plastic bags. Instead, we have paper bags available, which come with a 15¢ charge. Clients are also welcome to bring their own reusable bags into the shop with them, or to carry their items out by hand. Wigs are still being wrapped in tissue paper to ensure safe transport, making them pretty easy to carry out on their own if you don’t want to purchase a paper bag.
